For forty years Frank Pelliccione served as a banking leader for Citibank (Vice President and Branch Manager, Vice President of Government and Community Relationships for Long Island, Operations Director for forty-four branches on Long Island), First National Bank of Long Island (Business Development for Long Island, Vice President for a branch), and Flushing Bank (Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Government Relationships).

 

In 2012, the Garden City, New York Chamber of Commerce honored Frank as their “Business Person of the Year.” This prestigious award recognized Frank’s significant contributions to the local economy and to the welfare of the community.

 

 Throughout his professional career, Frank has been recognized for his civic and philanthropic work. For over fifteen years, he volunteered for the American Kidney Fund and served on its Board of Trustees.

 

Frank also generously volunteered his time to the Boy Scouts of Nassau County, the Brentwood Soccer League, the March of Dimes, Operation Get Ahead, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and helped to build Suffolk County, New York’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

 

In 2010, the Association of Fundraising Professionals honored Frank as one of the “good people who do things for good causes.”

Credit for Caring Act of 2024 (S. 3702)

The Credit for Caring Act of 2024 is a bipartisan initiative aimed at supporting approximately 70 million Americans who provide financial care for family members. These caregivers play a crucial role within our healthcare community.

As of this writing (February 25, 2024), the Credit for Caring Act of 2024 is in the legislative process.  It was introduced in the 118th Congress by Senator Michael F. Bennet on January 31, 2024.  If passed, the bill would provide a nonrefundable federal tax credit to working family caregivers who incur caregiving expenses exceeding $2,000 during the taxable year.   The credit would cover 30% of qualified expenses up to a maximum of $5,000.  For taxable years beginning after 2024, the dollar amount may be adjusted for inflation.  The bill has been referred to the Committee on Finance.
