Care Communities

 

The Caregiver Coalition Fund of America (CareCFA) recognizes that there is a correlation between what we build today and how we will assist people tomorrow.   It is in this context that CareCFA is committed to developing Care Communities throughout the United States.  The Division of Care Communities brings to nonpaid family caregivers (i.e., family caregivers), programs that support their physical, emotional, spiritual, and socioeconomic needs, and promote their overall well-being. 

To support family caregivers, CareCFA encourages for-profit businesses, nonprofit and religious organizations, local agencies as well as community groups (e.g., senior centers, social-service groups) to participate in the Care Communities.  Bringing together businesses, organizations, agencies and community groups with family caregivers fosters relationships that enhances the ability of family caregivers to have access to products and services that address their needs as well as those of their care recipients.  Family caregivers, in return, provide support to businesses, organizations, agencies and community groups that enble these entities to better serve family caregivers .  This relationship betwwen business and organizational entitites and family caregivers is needed for their socioeconomic growth and well-being.   

Recently, the Caregiver Coalition Fund of America conducted a survey in which family caregivers expressed the need for better access to services.  The following link will take you to a summary of their responses.  

 

 

 

Mission Statement

The goal of Caregiver Coalition Fund of America’s (CareCFA) Care Communities is to support the physical, emotional, spiritual, and socioeconomic wellbeing of family caregivers.  It is in the context of this goal that CareCFA brings together for-profit businesses, nonprofit organizations and faith-based organizations, local and state agencies, and community groups.  By reaching out to and interacting with these entities, CareCFA Care Communities strive to serve families caregivers by providing much needed products and services.  The interactions between family caregivers and business, nonprofit, agencies, and community groups encourage awareness as to the needs of family caregivers and the enhancement of existing and the development of new product and services for family caregivers. 

The Caregiver Coalition Fund of America is currently developing Care Communities in the following States: New York (Long Island), New Jersey and South Carolina.  By the end of the 2023 fiscal year, it is planned that Care Communities will be developed in Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia.
